WRITER
Brandon is interested in writing about complex characters in a compassionate and non-judgmental way.
His work currently explores fragile masculinities, with a focus on Northern, working-class and Queer men. His distinctive writing style aims to challenge the expectations and stereotypes imposed on men by pushing the boundaries of naturalism through the incorporation of surreal elements.
Brandon was the first recipient of Papatango Theatre Company’s Playwrights' Studio Funding and is also a member of Graeae Theatre Company’s Writers Network.
The two plays he is currently developing focus on two kinds of men: those who acknowledge their behaviour and strive to improve and those who are aware of it and unapologetically embrace and exploit it.
